TripAdvisor extends its influence in Asia Pacific with PATA partnership
TripAdvisor and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) have recently announced the formation of a new strategic partnership. As TripAdvisor expands its influence and engagement across the Asia Pacific region, its relationship with PATA will prove invaluable – providing insight on and access to the local travel industry.
The partnership will facilitate communication between TripAdvisor and PATA’s extensive membership: over 80 government, state and city tourism bodies; nearly 50 international airlines, airports and cruise lines; and hundreds of travel industry companies. Points of engagement will include PATA newsletters, publications, events, industry committees, surveys, and research. Further, the companies will combine forces to jointly publish a tourism sector report for global release in 2013.
Cindy Tan, TripAdvisor’s Asia Pacific VP of CPM, comments: “Our strategic partnership with PATA is a significant endorsement to TripAdvisor’s ability to support PATA travel trade members. We are excited to work with PATA members to share our knowledge and help them deliver their messages to travelers around the world with our unique and distinct solutions across Click based Advertising, Display Advertising and Business Listings.”
